اللہ تعالی نے انسانیت کی ہدایت کیلئے انبیاء کرام علیہم الصلاۃ والسلام کو اور سب سے آخر میں نبی اکرم صلى الله عليه وسلم کو قیامت تک کے انسانوں کیلئے ہادی بنا کر دنیا میں بھیجا ، اور پورے عالم کے انسانوں کیلئے آپ صلى الله عليه وسلم کی شریعت پر عمل کرنے کو لازم قرار دیا، آپ نے ساری زندگی اپنے عمل اور قول کے ذریعہ سے امت کو جنت کا راستہ بتایا، آپ کی یہ تمام تعلیمات قرآن و احادیث میں بکھری پڑی ہیں، فقہائے امت نے امت کی آ سانی کیلئے اس کےعملی سلسلہ کو فقہ کی صورت میں مرتب کیا، ان فقہاء میں چار فقہائے امت امام ابو حنیفہ، امام مالک، امام شافعی، امام احمد بن حنبل کو اللہ نے خصوصی مقام عطاء فرمایا اور پوری دنیا میں جگہ جگہ انکے بتائے ہوئے فقہی مسائل پر عمل ہوتا چلا آیا ہے اور یہ سب ان پر اللہ کا خصوصی فضل اور انعام ہے ،انسان ان چاروں فقہ میں سے جس کے فقہ پر عمل کرے گا تو کامیاب ہوگا اور جنت تک پہنچے گا۔
ہمارے عزیز مولوی فائق سلمہ اللہ جنہوں نے دار العلوم لیسٹر میں تعلیمی سلسلہ مکمل کیا اور عالم دین بنے مسلکًا شافعی ہیں اور اس ملک کے بچوں اور جوانوں پر بڑی اچھی محنت کر رہے ہیں، انہوں نے اپنے رفيق مفتي داود صاحب كے ساتھ ضرورت محسوس کی کہ معصوم بچوں کیلئے انگریزی زبان میں فقہ شافعي پر سليبس تیار کریں چنانچہ معتمد کتابوں کا سہارا لے كر بچوں کی عمر کےمناسب سن وار ایک اچھا ذخیرہ جمع کر لیاہے اور اب وہ اسے شائع کرنا چاہتے ہیں۔
اللہ تعالی سے دلی دعا ہے کہ وہ ان کی محنت کو قبول فرمائے اور اس سے امت کے بچوں اور جوانوں کو خاص طور پر مستفید فرمائے اور آئندہ مزید ایسے کاموں کی توفیق بخشے۔

بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
الحَمْدُلِلّٰہِ وَکَفٰی وَ سَلَامٌ عَلٰی عِبَادِہِ الَّذِیْنَ اصْطَفٰی اَمَّا بَعْدُ
Islam is a natural religion and one that fits exactly in accordance with the needs of nature. To fulfil our natural need in accordance with Islamic teachings, its education and training is taught to us in Makatib (religious schools) from childhood.
That is why wherever Muslims went, their first concern was the establishment of Masajid and Makatib. In the countries where Muslims established these institutions, the d|n of their descendants would be preserved. Where these institutions are not established, the situation is dire. May Allah protect us all.
May All\h reward the first generation of Muslim migrants in the UK and forgive those who have passed. They had concern for Makatib from day one.
Initially, within the UK, the curriculum of the Indian subcontinent was taught in the Urdu language. Over time it became difficult for the students to read and understand Urdu, so the English-speaking scholars moved forward and produced a revised curriculum in accordance with current educational needs and modern design. In UK, this work came to light by many institutions. May All\h grant acceptance to the efforts of all. Ãmin.
In particular, the syllabus that was formulated by An Nasihah Publications, Leicester, has been accepted widely by many notable scholars and has been implemented in their institutions. فَلِلّٰہِ الْحَمْدُ
After its release, An Nasihah were approached by members of the
Shafi’| community, who requested that work be done to incorporate
Shafi’| Fiqh within its syllabus.
In light of the demand, a meeting was conducted with myself and Mawlana Faik Shakeel Khamkar, to explore whether the fiqh section could be prepared in accordance with the Shafi’i school.
By the grace of All\h , we followed through on our intentions (despite the difficulty of the task at hand), and we immediately began to work on the content in 2017. Mawlana Faik has worked harder and more diligently in this work than I have. After I explained the rulings, Mawlana Faik would edit and check the book repeatedly. May Allah reward him abundantly. Amin.
About the book: The beauty of An Nasihah’s syllabus is that it contains chapters of Fiqh, Ahadith, Sirah, Tarikh, ‘Aqa’id, Akhlaq and Ãdab in one book. In short, the syllabus for the entire year is contained within one book. The books are age appropriate and beautifully designed.
Methodology: Since the book was already compiled based on the Hanafi Fiqh and required to be modified to the Shafi’i school, it was quite an arduous task, but by the grace of Allah it has reached its completion. The utmost effort has been made to extract the fiqh from classical reference books. As well as books of ahadith, the following are some of the fiqh books that were used frequently: Al-Fiqh al-Manhaji, Tuhfat al-Bari, Al-Iqna’, ‘Umdatus Salik, Al-Majmu’ etc.
Since the book is primarily written for children, differences of opinion have not been included. On differences, the preferred opinions of Tuhfat al-Bari or Fiqh al-Manhaji have been given priority. ‘Ulama’ are kindly requested to let us know of any mistakes that have been identified – we would be grateful and indebted to you.

In the name of All\h the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
I have been presented with the compilation of Shafi’i Fiqh by An Nasihah Publications. I have perused through the book and observed the forewords by many senior ‘Ulama’. Indeed, an amazing and comprehensive compilation. I also shared it with one of my students who is an expert in Shafi’i Fiqh. He also found it to be an amazing publication.
The best legacy and long-lasting footprints are Islamic knowledge and education. It is my heartfelt du’a’ that Allah includes this compilation under:
وَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُوْا وَاٰثَارَهُمْ
“And we will record what they have sent forth and their footprints” (Qur’an 36:12)
May Allah accept the great efforts of the team at An Nasihah and all those who were involved in this publication and crown their efforts with acceptance. Ãmin

All praise is due to Allah who has guided us towards the right path – Islam. Countless blessings and prayers be upon our beloved Prophet and Master Muhammad ﷺ.
It is refreshing and inspiring to see the efforts exerted by the honourable Mufti Dawood Harnekar and Mawlana Faik Khamkar to make this Islamic Science of Shafi’i Jurisprudence, accessible on a wider scale. It was an area that was in need of a more contemporary and simplified approach so that children and beginners (as well as adults desiring a refresher) could easily access it. This has definitely been achieved in the An Nasihah books for years and now the Shafi’i fiqh version has supplemented that content.
I had the honour of reading through this book and found it to be simple in its layout and gradual in its teaching format. It avoided the differences of opinions within the Shafi’i school, which can get confusing for children and beginner level students. If taught and learnt well, this book will set the foundation for students to progress onto more advanced texts in the well-trodden path of the Shafi’i Fiqh curriculum; in sha Allah, this will enable many of them to become Fuqaha’ (experts in the science of Fiqh) – a specialism we are desperately lacking in this Ummah.
Rasulullah ﷺ said, “Whosoever Allah Wills good for, He gives him Tafaqquh (deep understanding) in the religion.” al-Bukhari
It is by these words that we ask All\h to bring tafaqquh and goodness in this Ummah by means of this book. May He grant benefit of this knowledge to everyone, by which we may become true worshippers of All\h , so much so that practicing this knowledge grants us the great pleasure of All\h and His beloved Habib al-Mustafa ﷺ. May Allah accept the efforts of everyone involved in the compilation of this text and rectify our intentions. May He forgive us for any oversights in the text and make it a legacy that continues to benefit mankind until the final hour – Ameen.
