Imams of Fiqh
There were many scholars in the first three hundred years of Islam who codified the laws of the Qur’an and Ahadith to the best of their ability. They laid the foundations to the Madhahib (schools) of Fiqh.
They laid the foundations to the Madhahib (schools) of Fiqh. Hence, the founder of the Hanafi madh’hab is Imam Abu Hanifah and his students. The founder of the Shafi’i madh’hab is Imam Shafi’i and his students. And so on and so forth.
These four great scholars codified the laws of the Qur’an and Ahadith along with their students and they became widely accepted across the whole Muslim world.
